Wes Reminder at Salford Lads Club Manchester

Why the Salford Lads Club in Manchester, England?

For those familiar with its cultural resonance, you'll understand why it's intertwined with my passions—music, photography, trains, and the United Kingdom—since I was young. While these interests might seem eclectic, perhaps you'll find something on my site that is intriguing to you. The details always mattered to me. You might be able to see that in my dedication to preserving the legacy of the Conrail business train, through the stories of those who worked on it. And for good measure, I’ve thrown in a few other topics that paint a good picture of my other interests.

While I dabbled in working for the railroad, ultimately the things that always mattered to me were the details. Perhaps that is why I love working as a Vice President of Operations at a marketing agency. During my years in marketing, I’ve worked with B2C and B2B agencies, managed small projects and multimillion dollar projects, managed a team of incredible people, all in the name of making agencies more efficient. I love giving our clients the best possible project within their budget.

Interested in enhancing your agency’s efficiency? Captivated by the allure of railroads? Intrigued by the Salford Lads Club’s significance? Have some Conrail artifacts you want to pass on? Let’s dive into these conversations over a cuppa. Reach out—let's chat.

the boring, the adoring sack at York National Railway Museum

the boring, the adoring?

W. H. Auden wrote about British steam engines travelling in Scotland, delivering the mail. The poem “This is the night mail” references the messages that travelled by rail, including “the chatty, the catty, the boring, the adoring”.

The mail sack with this quote is found in the National Railway Museum in York, England, which is also W.H Auden’s hometown.

While, my site won’t be “chatty, or catty”, I do hope you don’t find it too boring. Perhaps you might just adore some of the photographs.

All the best. - Wes Reminder
